As your organisation becomes ever more IT-reliant, downtime becomes increasingly unacceptable. So when it comes to IT support, organisations tend to fall into three categories:

  1. They have fully-staffed, in-house, on-site IT support teams, ready to deal with any eventuality.
  2. Or, they choose to outsource all IT support and/or ‘buy in’ what they need, when they need it.
  3. Or, they take an approach that might best be described as ‘hope-and-pray’. They ‘hope’ that their systems will keep working, and they ‘pray’ that disaster won’t strike. But life is getting ever more complicated, and the potential for things to go awry, or in the worse case, for disaster to strike, is becoming ever more likely.
