This is typically configured to deny unauthorised outsiders access, thus preventing unwanted intrusion to your network, while at the same time allowing your user’s access to the Internet and other services outside the firewall.
Other defensive measures need to include the implementation of the latest best practice and other effective security procedures that can be applied to the day-to-day running of your business.
As more and more organisations take advantage of low-cost broadband connections to the Internet, the opportunities for viruses or spyware to propagate, and for hackers to compromise security have grown dramatically.
